The Curado DC is a technically sophisticated low profile Baitcaster equipped with the exclusive Digital Control braking system (I-DC4) developed by Shimano. The micro-computer supporting this braking system automatically controls the speed of the spool rotation during casting.When cranking, it immediately becomes apparent how solidly this reel was built and how well it fits in the hand at the same time. With the common sizes in various speed options, the Curado DC represents one of the best investments when looking to switch to the latest Baitcaster technologies. Anyone who has never tried Digital Control should definitely do so.
Using the external dial, 3 additional modes can be easily set in addition to the totally free mode: 1 for Braid or Mono, 2 for Fluorocarbon, and 3 for challenging conditions (such as casting bulky lures against strong wind).
Once activated, the micro-computer makes nano-second adjustments to the spool rotation speed during casting, thereby preventing backlash, maximizing casting performance, and promoting focused and enjoyable fishing.
