Shimano went 'Beyond Lightness' to create an ultimate, smooth-running mechanism with unsurpassed features. It's the pinnacle of ultralight reels and is packed with Shimano technologies, derived primarily from the Stella.
The lightness of the Vanquish comes from the extensive use of Shimano's exclusive Ci4+ composite material. This is improved by the addition of the Magnumlite rotor, which also contributes to the incredibly low starting torque when winding. This slow starting moment is particularly important when fishing finesse and UL techniques. You'll be able to fish these techniques more precisely than ever.
