Thatchers groundbait has gained a cult following over the last 20 years as it is the groundbait of choice for many anglers, originally only available in the Thatchers shop. This finely ground and sifted pellet-based groundbait has additional fishmeal and a small amount of breadcrumbs for the perfect texture.

It is easy to mix and binds well to a method feeder and breaks down quickly, this is all due to the consistency and fine texture of the ingredients used. The fine particles create an inactive mixture when wetted, perfect for quickly breaking down the food around the hook. It can also be balled or poured as slop.

The fine texture of the groundbait means it forms a light veil of attractants as it melts off the feeder, quickly creating a feeding area.

Mixing instructions:
Pro Groundbait Thatchers is extremely easy to mix. For most method feeder fishing situations, empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket. Pour about a liter onto the groundbait and mix it thoroughly and then let it rest for 30 minutes, the water will be absorbed by the groundbait. To remove possible lumps and achieve an even consistency, you can strain the groundbait through a sieve.

When fishing in the sun, the groundbait can dry out a little. To counteract this, you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or, if it dries out, simply add a little more water and mix again.
